The Duplex sold for $50 Million Dollars. The Asking Price was $56 Million.

The English musician, 66, purchased the duplex for $26.9 million in 2008 under his real name, Gordon Sumner, and listed it in May 2017 with a $56 million price tag.

The new, and anonymous, owner used a limited liability company for their purchase, property records show.
Along with Central Park views, the four-bedroom home has a chef’s catering kitchen, a library, a terrace and a master suite with two dressing rooms and a spa bathroom, according to the listing with Corcoran broker Deborah Kern.
The home, which spreads across the 16th and 17th floors, was designed by designer Lee F. Mindel, who added two custom sculptural spiral staircases to the 5,417-square-feet property.
Sting was one of the first buyers in the Robert A.M. Stern-designed limestone building on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, the representative said.
The sale is the most expensive residential transaction in the neighborhood in the past 12 months, according to StreetEasy data.
The multiple Grammy award-winner has had a music career spanning decades.
